तद् ब्रवीतु भवान् क्षिप्रं कि करोमि किमिच्छसि । प्रणयेन ब्रवीमि त्वां त्वं हि न: शरणागत:,“अत: शीघ्र बताइये, आप क्या चाहते हैं? मैं आपकी क्या सेवा करूँ? मैं बड़े प्रेमसे पूछ रहा हूँ; क्योंकि आप हमारे घर पधारे हैं
tad bravītu bhavān kṣipraṁ ki karomi kim icchasi | praṇayena bravīmi tvāṁ tvaṁ hi naḥ śaraṇāgataḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Vậy xin hãy nói mau—ta phải làm gì, ngài mong điều chi? Ta hỏi bằng lòng thân ái, bởi ngài đã đến nhà ta để nương tựa.”
