धर्मार्थकुशलो राजा धर्मशास्त्रविशारद: । पृच्छामि त्वां कुरुश्रेष्ठ तन्मे व्याख्यातुमहसि

Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: dharmārthakuśalo rājā dharmaśāstraviśāradaḥ | pṛcchāmi tvāṃ kuruśreṣṭha tan me vyākhyātum arhasi, bharatabhūṣaṇa |

Yudhiṣṭhira thưa: “Hỡi bậc tối thượng trong dòng Kuru, niềm trang sức của dòng Bharata, con xin hỏi ngài: xin giảng cho con sự hiểu biết ấy—nhờ nương vào đó mà một vị vua tinh thông dharma và artha, lại am tường các luận thư về dharma, vẫn không rơi vào mê lầm dù bị kẻ thù vây quanh.”
