माजरि व्रीडितो भूत्वा मूषिकं वाक्यमब्रवीत्,पलितने जब इस प्रकार स्पष्टरूपसे कड़ी फटकार सुनायी, तब बिलावने लज्जित होकर पुनः उस चूहेसे इस प्रकार कहा
Mārjāri vrīḍito bhūtvā mūṣikaṁ vākyam abravīt.
Bhishma nói: Khi con mèo bị quở trách công khai và nghiêm khắc, nó hổ thẹn; rồi lấy lại bình tĩnh, nó lại cất lời với con chuột.
