यो यस्मिन् जीवति स्वार्थ पश्येत् पीडां न जीवति । स तस््य मित्र तावत् स्याद् यावन्न स्याद् विपर्यय:
Translation
“Ai thấy rằng khi người kia còn sống thì lợi ích của mình được thành tựu, và khi người kia chết thì mình chịu thiệt hại—người ấy sẽ còn là bạn của người kia, chừng nào tình thế ấy chưa đảo ngược.”
