अद्रोह: सर्वभूतेषु कर्मणा मनसा गिरा । अनुग्रहश्च दानं च शीलमेतत्‌ प्रशस्यते

Transliteration

adrohaḥ sarvabhūteṣu karmaṇā manasā girā | anugrahaś ca dānaṃ ca śīlam etat praśasyate ||

Translation

Dhṛtarāṣṭra nói: “Không nuôi lòng ác với bất cứ sinh linh nào—bằng việc làm, bằng ý nghĩ, hay bằng lời nói—lại biết thương xót, và bố thí tùy theo khả năng: đó gọi là śīla (hạnh kiểm), điều mà ai nấy đều ca ngợi.”
