Nakula’s Counsel on Yajña, Dāna, and Tyāga (नकुलोपदेशः—यज्ञदानत्यागविचारः)
ब्राह्मणा:श्रुतिसम्पन्नास्तानू निबोध नराधिप | यह गृहस्थ-आश्रम सब आश्रमोंसे ऊँचा है। यह बात वेदोंके सिद्धान्तको जाननेवाले श्रुतिसम्पन्न ब्राह्मण कहते हैं। नरेश्वरर आप उनकी सेवामें उपस्थित होकर इस बातको समझिये
brāhmaṇāḥ śrutisampannās tānū nibodha narādhipa | yaḥ gṛhasthāśramaḥ sarvāśramebhya ūrdhvaḥ | etad vedasiddhāntajñāḥ śrutisampannā brāhmaṇā vadanti | nareśvara, teṣāṃ sevāyāṃ upasthitaḥ san etad avagaccha ||
Nakula nói: “Hỡi đại vương, xin hãy hiểu điều này từ các Bà-la-môn thành tựu Veda. Giai đoạn gia chủ (gṛhastha) được tôn là cao hơn mọi āśrama khác. Đó là điều các Bà-la-môn tinh thông Veda và thấu triệt những kết luận đã được xác lập của Veda tuyên bố. Vì thế, hỡi chúa tể loài người, hãy đến phụng sự các vị ấy và nắm lấy chân lý này.”
