समयोथ<यं कृतस्तेन साचिव्यमुपगच्छता । नोपघातत्त्वया कार्यो राजन्‌ मैत्रीमिहेच्छता

Transliteration

samayo 'tha ayaṁ kṛtas tena sācivyam upagacchatā | nopaghātas tvayā kāryo rājan maitrīm ihecchatā ||

Translation

Śārṭūla nói: “Khi nó đến gần bệ hạ để phụng sự làm tể tướng, chính nó đã lập một giao ước. Vậy nên, tâu Đại vương, nếu bệ hạ cầu mong tình bằng hữu nơi đây, xin chớ làm điều gì gây hại cho nó.”
