तमुत्तमेन शौचेन कर्मणा चाभिधारय

Transliteration

tam uttamena śaucena karmaṇā cābhidhāraya

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: “Hãy chinh phục lòng người ấy bằng sự thanh tịnh cao nhất trong hạnh kiểm và bằng những việc làm cao quý. Nhờ nếp sống không tì vết ấy, hãy khơi dậy nơi vua Videha niềm tin đối với con. Vua Videha giữ trọn lời thệ; vì thế ngài ắt sẽ ban cho con của cải. Khi điều ấy thành tựu, con sẽ trở thành chuẩn mực đáng tin cho muôn loài và là cánh tay phải của nhà vua—chỗ nương tựa bậc nhất trong việc trị quốc.”
