Upāya-dharma and Senāyoga: Expedient Ethics & Army Deployment
यतो वायुर्यत: सूर्यो यत: शुक्रस्ततो जय: । पूर्व पूर्व ज्याय एषां संनिपाते युधिषछ्िर
yato vāyur yataḥ sūryo yataḥ śukras tato jayaḥ | pūrvaḥ pūrvaḥ jyāya eṣāṁ sannipāte yudhiṣṭhira ||
Bhishma nói: “Chiến thắng đạt được khi giao chiến với lưng quay về phía gió thổi đến, phía mặt trời đứng, và phía sao Kim hiện ra. Hỡi Yudhisthira, nếu ba điều ấy ở ba hướng khác nhau, không thể cùng thuận một phía, thì điều được nêu trước là quan trọng hơn—vì vậy, chỉ cần giữ gió ở sau lưng, dù hai điều kia ở phía trước, vẫn có thể chiến đấu hữu hiệu.”
