जनकस्य युद्धोपदेशः — Janaka’s Instruction on Steadfast Battle-Conduct
त्यागमूलं हि शूराणां स्वर्गद्वारमनुत्तमम् । इत्युक्तास्ते नृपतिना योधा: परपुरंजय
tyāgamūlaṃ hi śūrāṇāṃ svargadvāram anuttamam | ity uktās te nṛpatinā yodhāḥ parapuraṃjayāḥ |
Bhīṣma nói: “Với bậc anh hùng, cánh cửa vô thượng dẫn đến thiên giới bắt rễ từ sự xả ly—tự hiến thân.” Được nhà vua khuyên răn như thế, các chiến sĩ—những người chinh phục thành trì địch—ghi khắc trong lòng, làm tăng niềm vui của quân vương nơi chiến địa và giành thắng lợi trước kẻ thù. Vì vậy, người có chí khí phải luôn đứng vững ngay nơi cửa miệng của chiến tranh, không hề nao núng trước bổn phận.
