Śalya’s Consecration as Senāpati and Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel to Yudhiṣṭhira (शल्यस्य सेनापत्यभिषेकः)
गुरुपुत्रो5द्य सर्वेषामस्माकं परमा गति: । भवांस्तस्मान्नियोगात्ते को<स्तु सेनापतिर्मम
sañjaya uvāca | guruputro 'dya sarveṣām asmākaṁ paramā gatiḥ | bhavāṁs tasmān niyogāt te ko 'stu senāpatir mama ||
Sañjaya nói: “Hỡi con trai của bậc thầy chúng ta, hôm nay ngươi là chỗ nương tựa tối thượng của tất cả chúng ta. Vì vậy, theo sự chỉ dẫn của ngươi, ta muốn cử một Tổng chỉ huy. Hãy nói cho ta biết—giờ đây ai nên làm tướng của ta, được đặt ở tuyến đầu, để chúng ta cùng hợp lực ra trận và giành thắng lợi trước các Pāṇḍava?”
