Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | upaviṣṭaḥ kathāḥ śubhrāḥ śuśrāva yadupuṅgavaḥ | yatra pūrvakāle indraḥ agniś ca aryamā ca mahāprītim avāpuḥ, tat sthānaṃ yamunāyāḥ taṭe asti | kārapavanena tat tīrthaṃ gatvā mahābalī dharmātmā balarāmaḥ snātvā mahān harṣam avāpa | tataḥ sa yadupuṅgavaḥ balabhadraḥ ṛṣibhiḥ siddhaiś ca saha upaviśya uttamāḥ kathāḥ śuśrāva |

Translation

Vaiśampāyana nói: Bậc tối thượng trong dòng Yadu, ngồi tại đó, lắng nghe những câu chuyện trong sạch và cát tường. Nơi ấy ở bên bờ sông Yamunā—chốn mà thuở xưa Indra, Agni và Aryaman đã được niềm hoan hỷ lớn lao. Theo lộ trình Kārapavana đến bến thánh ấy, Balarāma, bậc đại lực và chính trực, tắm gội rồi tràn đầy hân hoan.
