देवलो दर्शयन्नेव नैवायुझड्जत धर्मत: । एवं तयोर्महाराज दीर्घकालो व्यतिक्रमत्‌

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | devalo darśayann eva naivāyujyad dharmataḥ | evaṃ tayor mahārāja dīrghakālo vyatikramat ||

Translation

Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: Dẫu Devala cứ bày tỏ và chỉ dạy, ông vẫn không, theo đúng pháp, ép buộc hay ràng buộc (người kia) vào kỷ luật tu tập. Vì thế, tâu đại vương, đối với hai người ở đó, một thời gian dài đã trôi qua.
