इस प्रकार महाबली शक्तिशाली वीर कार्तिकेयने समरांगणमें अनेक आततायी देवद्रोहियोंका संहार कर डाला ।।

Transliteration

bāṇo nāmātha daiteyo baleḥ putro mahābalaḥ | krauñca-parvatam āśritya deva-saṅghān abādhata ||

Translation

Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: Có một Daitya tên là Bāṇa, người con hùng mạnh của Bali. Nương náu trên núi Krauñca, hắn không ngừng quấy nhiễu các đạo binh chư thiên—một kẻ xâm lăng điển hình, mà sức mạnh khi quay lưng với trật tự thiêng liêng thì trở thành nguyên cớ cho sự phản kích chính nghĩa trong chiến trận.
