Shloka 38

तस्य शाखो विशाखश्न नैगमेयश्व पृष्ठतः । तदनन्तर प्रभावशाली भगवान्‌ स्कन्द क्षणभरमें चार रूपोंमें प्रकट हो गये। पीछे जो उनकी मूर्तियाँ प्रकट हुईं, उनका नाम क्रमश: शाख, विशाख और नैगमेय हुआ ।। एवं स कृत्वा हात्मानं चतुर्धा भगवान्‌ प्रभु:

tasya śākho viśākhaś ca naigameyaś ca pṛṣṭhataḥ | tadanantaraṃ prabhāvaśālī bhagavān skandaḥ kṣaṇabhareṇa catur-rūpeṣu prakaṭo babhūva | paścād yā mūrtayaḥ prādurāsan, tāsāṃ nāmāni krameṇa śākha-viśākha-naigameyāḥ | evaṃ sa kṛtvā ātmānaṃ caturdhā bhagavān prabhuḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana nói: Sau lưng Ngài hiện ra Śākha, Viśākha và Naigameya. Ngay sau đó, trong một sát-na, đức Skanda oai lực hiển hiện thành bốn thân. Những hình tướng xuất hiện phía sau được gọi theo thứ tự là Śākha, Viśākha và Naigameya. Như vậy, Đấng Phúc Đức, bậc Chúa Tể, tự phân thân thành bốn sự hiển lộ.
