कुमाराभिषेकप्रश्नः — Inquiry into Kumāra (Skanda) Investiture at Sarasvatī
नमुचिर्वासवाद् भीत: सूर्यरश्मिं समाविशत्
namucir vāsavād bhītaḥ sūryaraśmiṁ samāviśat | vadhiṣyāmy asuraśreṣṭha sakhe satyena te śape ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Namuci, khiếp sợ Vāsava (Indra), đã ẩn mình vào những tia nắng mặt trời. Rồi Indra kết giao với hắn và thề nhân danh chân lý: “Hỡi bậc tối thượng trong loài Asura, bạn ta, ta sẽ không giết ngươi bằng vũ khí ướt cũng không bằng vũ khí khô; không giết vào ban ngày cũng không giết vào ban đêm.”
