Bấy giờ, nữ thần Sarasvatī bị bậc hiền triết Viśvāmitra nguyền rủa—một sự việc cho thấy rằng ngay cả những quyền năng đáng tôn kính và các lực thiêng liêng cũng có thể bị cuốn vào xung đột khi cơn giận và sự ganh đua lấn át sự tự chế.
