क्षुरेण शितधारेण उत्पपात महावने । महोदरस्य तल्लग्नं जंघायां वै यदृच्छया
kṣureṇa śitadhāreṇa utpapāta mahāvane | mahodarasya tallagnaṃ jaṅghāyāṃ vai yadṛcchayā ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Trong khu rừng lớn ấy, một lưỡi dao cạo sắc bén bỗng bật vọt lên; do tình cờ, nó cắm mắc vào ống chân của Mahodara. Sự việc ấy cho thấy giữa bạo lực và hỗn loạn, tai họa có thể phát sinh bất ngờ, không do chủ ý—nhắc người nghe về sự mong manh của sinh mệnh và sức nặng đạo lý của những hành động đã thả lỏng cơn loạn thế.
