Spiritual restoration is achieved through reverent action: undertaking a sacred journey and worshipping Śiva at a holy confluence is presented as the means to recover lost splendor (kānti), emphasizing humility, devotion, and the purifying power of tīrthas.
Vaiśampāyana reports a prescription or counsel: the person in question is directed to travel to the western seashore where the Sarasvatī meets the ocean and to worship Mahādeva there, with the promised result that his radiance will return.
