इन्द्राशनिसमस्पर्श: समनन््तात् पर्यवाकिरत् । तत्पश्चात् भीमसेनने इन्द्रके वजकी भाँति कठोर स्पर्शवाले तीखे बाणोंद्वारा आपकी सेनाको चारों ओरसे ढक दिया
indrāśani-samasparśaḥ samantāt paryavākirat | tatpaścāt bhīmasenena indrasya vajravat kaṭhora-sparśaiḥ tīkṣṇaiḥ bāṇaiḥ tava senā caturdiśaṃ ācchāditā ||
Sañjaya nói: Bấy giờ Bhīmasena bắn mưa tên khắp bốn phía—những mũi tên có sức chạm cứng rắn và rát bỏng như lôi chùy của Indra—khiến quân đội của bệ hạ bị phủ kín và bị vây ép từ mọi hướng. Cảnh tượng ấy cho thấy trong cơn cuồng nộ của chiến tranh, võ lực có thể áp đảo cả một đạo quân, dồn các chiến binh vào phép thử nghiệt ngã của dũng khí và bổn phận giữa cảnh tàn phá.
