भीमसेनस्य कौरवसुतवधः तथा श्रुतर्वावधः
Slaying of Kaurava princes and the fall of Śrutarvā
नातिप्रसिद्धेव गति: पाण्डवानामजायत । चारों ओर पर्वताकार विशालकाय हाथी पड़े थे, जो भीमसेन और अर्जुनके आघातोंसे पिस गये थे। उनके कारण पाण्डवोंका आगे बढ़ना अत्यन्त दुष्कर हो गया था ।।
nātiprasiddheva gatiḥ pāṇḍavānām ajāyata | rathamārgaṃ tataḥ śukre bhīmaseno mahābalaḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: Bước tiến của các Pāṇḍava dường như chao đảo và bị ngăn trở. Khắp bốn bề là những con voi khổng lồ như núi nằm la liệt, bị nghiền nát dưới đòn của Bhīmasena và Arjuna; vì thế, tiến lên trở nên vô cùng khó khăn. Khi ấy, Bhīmasena, bậc đại lực, đã dọn sạch một lối cho chiến xa.
