Adhyāya 14: Śalya’s Missile-Pressure and the Pāṇḍava Convergence (शल्यस्य शरवर्षम्)
द्वीक्ष्य सुरथथं रोषाद् धनुज्यामवमृज्य च | मुमोच तीक3्ष्णं नाराचं यमदण्डोपमद्युतिम्
dṛkṣya surathaṃ roṣād dhanujyām avamṛjya ca | mumoca tīkṣṇaṃ nārācaṃ yamadaṇḍopamadyutim ||
Sañjaya nói: Thấy Suratha mà nổi giận, lau sạch dây cung, hắn liền thả một mũi tên nārāca sắc bén, bừng cháy như trượng của thần Yama—một hành động làm dồn dập thêm đà tàn khốc của chiến trận, nơi cơn thịnh nộ thúc chiến binh đến quyết tâm sát phạt.
