Adhyāya 14: Śalya’s Missile-Pressure and the Pāṇḍava Convergence (शल्यस्य शरवर्षम्)
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत शल्यपर्वमें शल्यका युद्धविषयक तेरहवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
sañjaya uvāca | cakrāṇāṃ patatāṃ cāpi yugānāṃ ca dharātale samadṛśyanta pārthasya rathamārgeṣu bhārata |
Sañjaya nói: Hỡi Bharata, dọc theo vệt bánh xe của chiến xa Pārtha, trên mặt đất có thể thấy những bánh xe và ách xe rơi rụng. Chiến địa bị bước tiến của Arjuna cày xới phơi bày những đống khí cụ chiến xa vỡ nát và những phần thân thể chiến sĩ bị chém lìa—một hình ảnh nhấn mạnh rằng võ công có thể biến kiêu hãnh và sở hữu thành hoang tàn nhanh đến nhường nào, và đà chiến tranh để lại một vệt mất mát hữu hình.
