पृष्ठेषु बद्धेषुधयश्चित्रबवाणोत्कटास्तथा । सध्वजा: सपताकाश्न सघण्टा: सपरश्वधा:
pṛṣṭheṣu baddheṣu-dhayaś citra-bavāṇotkaṭās tathā | sa-dhvajāḥ sa-patākāś ca sa-ghaṇṭāḥ sa-paraśvadhāḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: “Trên lưng họ buộc những ống tên; họ mang những mũi tên lạ lùng mà ghê gớm, trông dữ tợn như kẻ phát cuồng vì chiến trận. Họ trang bị cờ hiệu và phướn, chuông và rìu—bày đủ cho bạo lực của chiến tranh, trong khi vẻ huy hoàng bên ngoài che lấp sự tàn bạo bất chính của cuộc tập kích đêm đang mở ra trong parvan này.”
