कृपोपदेशः — द्रौणेरनिद्रा च
Kṛpa’s Counsel and Drauṇi’s Sleepless Resolve
“इस समय जो क्रोध उत्पन्न हुआ है, इसे मैं स्वयं भी रोक नहीं सकता। इस संसारमें किसी भी ऐसे पुरुषको नहीं देख रहा हूँ, जो मुझे क्रोधसे दूर हटा दे ।। तथैव निश्चिता बुद्धिरेषा साधु मता मम । वार्तिकै: कथ्यमानस्तु मित्राणां मे पराभव:
idānīṁ yo 'yaṁ krodhaḥ samutpannaḥ, tam ahaṁ svayam api na śaknomi nivārayitum | asmin loke nāhaṁ kañcid api tādṛśaṁ puruṣaṁ paśyāmi yo māṁ krodhāt nivartayet || tathaiva niścitā buddhir eṣā sādhumatā mama | vārtikaiḥ kathyamānas tu mitrāṇāṁ me parābhavaḥ ||
Kṛpa nói: “Cơn giận đang bùng lên trong ta lúc này—ta không thể kìm lại, dù cố gắng bằng chính sức mình. Trong cõi đời này, ta chẳng thấy người nào có thể khiến ta rời khỏi cơn thịnh nộ. Và quyết tâm của ta vẫn vững như bàn thạch; theo phán đoán của ta, đó là con đường đúng. Nhưng khi nghe những lời tường thuật và bàn tán, ta lại bị nhắc nhớ đến thất bại và nỗi nhục của bằng hữu ta.”
