Rudra’s Omitted Share in the Yajña (रुद्रभागानुपपत्तिः — यज्ञोपाख्यानम्)
हवाकी गति रुक गयी, आग समिधा और घी आदिसे जलानेकी चेष्टा की जानेपर भी प्रज्वलित नहीं होती थी और आकाशमें नक्षत्रोंका समूह उद्विग्न होकर घूमने लगा ।।
na babhau bhāskaraś cāpi somaḥ śrīmuktamaṇḍalaḥ | timireṇākulaṃ sarvam ākāśaṃ cābhavad vṛtam ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: Gió ngừng thổi; dù cố nhóm lửa bằng củi tế (samidhā) và bơ tinh khiết (ghī) thì lửa cũng không bùng lên. Trên trời, đoàn sao hoảng động mà xoay vần. Mặt trời không tỏa sáng trọn vẹn, vầng trăng mất vẻ huy hoàng, và cả bầu trời bị bóng tối che phủ.
