अश्वत्थाम-शापः, परिक्षिद्भविष्यत्, मणि-न्यासः
Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution
व्यास उवाच यस्मादनादृत्य कृतं त्वयास्मान् कर्म दारुणम् । ब्राह्मणस्य सतश्वैव यस्मात् ते वृत्तमीदूशम्
vyāsa uvāca | yasmād anādṛtya kṛtaṃ tvayāsmān karma dāruṇam | brāhmaṇasya sataś caiva yasmāt te vṛttam īdṛśam |
Vyāsa nói: Bởi ngươi đã khinh suất, chẳng đoái hoài, mà gây nên hành vi tàn bạo đối với chúng ta; và bởi ngươi còn đem lối cư xử ấy áp đặt cả với một brāhmaṇa chân chính—nên hạnh kiểm của ngươi mới sa đọa đến mức này.
