ततस्तदस्त्रं सहसा सृष्टं गाण्डीवधन्चना । प्रजज्वाल महार्चिष्मद्‌ युगान्तानलसंनिभम्‌,गाण्डीवधारी अर्जुनके द्वारा छोड़ा गया वह ब्रह्मास्त्र सहसा प्रज्वलित हो उठा। उससे प्रलयाग्निके समान बड़ी-बड़ी लपटें उठने लगीं

Transliteration

tatastad astraṃ sahasā sṛṣṭaṃ gāṇḍīvadhanvanā | prajajvāla mahārcīṣmad yugāntānala-saṃnibham ||

Translation

Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: Rồi mũi tên ấy, vừa được người cầm Gāṇḍīva phóng ra, lập tức bùng cháy—rực sáng với ngọn lửa mênh mông, tựa như hỏa diệm của ngày tận kiếp. Cảnh tượng ấy cho thấy: khi thần khí tối thượng được tung ra trong chiến tranh, sức tàn phá vượt khỏi thước đo của con người, buộc kẻ giao tranh phải hướng đến tiết chế và trách nhiệm, dù giữa hỗn mang và oán hờn.
