Report of the Night Raid and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Lament
हत्वा भ्रातृन् वयस्यांश्व पितृन् पुत्रान् सुहृद्गणान् । बन्धूनमात्यान् पोत्रांश्व जित्वा सर्वाञ्जिता वयम्
hatvā bhrātṝn vayasyāṁś ca pitṝn putrān suhṛd-gaṇān | bandhūn amātyān pautrāṁś ca jitvā sarvān jitā vayam ||
Sūta nói: “Chúng ta đã giết anh em, bạn đồng niên, các bậc trưởng thượng như cha, con trai, những người thân hữu, bà con quyến thuộc, các đại thần, thậm chí cả cháu nội; rồi bảo rằng mình đã ‘chinh phục’ tất cả và giành chiến thắng. Thế nhưng rốt cuộc, chính chúng ta lại bị kẻ thù khuất phục.”
