दृढमूला वयं राज्ये मित्राणि परिगृह्म॒ च । सारवद् विपुलं सैन्यं सत्कृत्य च दुरासदम्,(हमारी विजय होनेपर) हमलोग बहुत-से मित्रोंका संग्रह करके बलशाली, दुर्धर्ष एवं विशाल सेनाका पुरस्कार आदिके द्वारा सत्कार करते हुए इस राज्यपर अपनी जड़ जमा लेंगे
dṛḍhamūlā vayaṁ rājye mitrāṇi parigṛhya ca | sāravad vipulaṁ sainyaṁ satkṛtya ca durāsadam ||
Duryodhana nói: “Chúng ta sẽ cắm rễ vững chắc trong vương quốc này. Khi đã quy tụ nhiều đồng minh, lại trọng thưởng và đãi ngộ một đạo quân hùng mạnh, đông đảo, khó bề công phá, chúng ta sẽ khiến địa vị của mình không thể lay chuyển.”
दुर्योधन उवाच

Ethically, it invites reflection on how reliance on inducements and force can conflict with dharmic governance grounded in justice and restraint.
In the Sabha Parva context, Duryodhana is articulating his plan to secure and stabilize his rule: gather many allies, strengthen the military, and keep it loyal through recognition and material support, thereby making his position difficult to challenge.
