सो<यं मत्तो$क्षद्यूतेन मधुवन्न परीक्षते | प्रपातं बुध्यते नैव वैरं कृत्वा महारथै:,वैसे ही यह दुर्योधन जूएके नशेमें इतना उन्मत्त हो गया है कि मधुमत्त पुरुषकी भाँति अपने ऊपर आनेवाले संकटको नहीं देखता। महारथी पाण्डवोंके साथ वैर करके हमें पतनके गर्तमें गिरकर मरना पड़ेगा, इस बातको समझ नहीं पा रहा है

Transliteration

so 'yaṁ matto 'kṣadyūtena madhuvan na parīkṣate | prapātaṁ budhyate naiva vairaṁ kṛtvā mahārathaiḥ ||

Translation

Vidura nói: “Kẻ này say cuồng vì cuộc đỏ đen với xúc xắc, mê muội đến mức—như người say rượu mật—không còn xét xem điều gì đang chờ phía trước. Hắn hoàn toàn không thấy vực thẳm: rằng gây thù với các đại xa thủ Pāṇḍava thì chúng ta đang lao về diệt vong và cái chết.”
