सभा-पर्व, अध्याय ६१ — द्रौपदी-प्रश्नः, सभाधर्मः, सत्यवचन-नियमः
युधिछिर उवाच रथास्तावन्त एवेमे हेमदण्डा: पताकिन: । हयैर्विनीतै: सम्पन्ना रथिभिश्ित्रयोधिभि:
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | rathās tāvanta eveme hemadaṇḍāḥ patākinaḥ | hayair vinītaiḥ sampannā rathibhiś citrayodhibhiḥ ||
Yudhiṣṭhira nói: “Ta có chừng ấy chiến xa—đúng một nghìn—mỗi chiếc mang cờ với cán cờ bằng vàng. Chúng được trang bị những con ngựa đã thuần luyện, và trên đó ngồi những dũng sĩ xa chiến tinh thông nhiều lối giao tranh. Đó là của cải của ta; đem đặt làm cược, hỡi bậc quân vương, ta sẽ chơi với ngài.”
