Dhṛtarāṣṭra–Duryodhana Saṃvāda on Restraint and Rājānīti
Chapter 50
तत् प्राप्तोड्सि महाबाहो कस्माच्छोचसि पुत्रक । स्फीतं राष्ट्र महाबाहो पितृपैतामहं महत्
tat prāpto ’si mahābāho kasmāc chocasī putraka | sphītaṃ rāṣṭraṃ mahābāho pitṛpaitāmahaṃ mahat ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Hỡi bậc dũng lực, con ạ, con đã đạt đến địa vị ấy rồi; cớ sao còn sầu muộn? Vương quốc lớn lao này—truyền lại từ cha và các bậc tổ phụ—đang thịnh vượng, sung túc. Khi con hưởng những thứ người khác khó bề có được, như mỹ thực và y phục thượng hạng, thì còn nguyên do nào cho nỗi buồn nữa?”
