Nārada’s Examination of Royal Ethics
कच्चिद् धर्मे त्रयीमूले पूर्वराचरिते जनै: । यतमानस्तथा कर्तु तस्मिन् कर्मणि वर्तसे,तीनों वेद ही जिसके मूल हैं और पूर्वपुरुषोंने जिसका आचरण किया है, उस धर्मका अनुष्ठान करनेके लिये तुम अपने पूर्वजोंकी ही भाँति प्रयत्नशील तो रहते हो? धर्मानुकूल कर्ममें ही तुम्हारी प्रवृत्ति तो रहती है?
kaccid dharme trayīmūle pūrvarācarite janaiḥ | yatamānas tathā kartu tasmin karmaṇi vartase ||
Nārada nói: “Ngài có đang nỗ lực noi theo dharma, lấy ba Veda làm nền tảng, vốn đã được người xưa thực hành chăng? Ngài có bền lòng ở chính con đường ấy—hành động phù hợp với dharma—mong thực hiện như các bậc tổ tiên của ngài đã làm không?”
