कच्चिच्छूरा: कृतप्रज्ञा: पजच पज्च स्वनुछिता: । क्षेमं कुर्वन्ति संहत्य राजज्जनपदे तव,राजन! क्‍या तुम्हारे जनपदके प्रत्येक गाँवमें शूरवीर, बुद्धिमान्‌ू और कार्यकुशल पाँच-पाँच पंच मिलकर सुचारुरूपसे जनहितके कार्य करते हुए सबका कल्याण करते हैं?

kaccic chūrāḥ kṛtaprajñāḥ pañca pañca svanuṣṭhitāḥ | kṣemaṃ kurvanti saṃhatya rājajjanapade tava, rājan ||

Nārada nói: “Muôn tâu Đại vương, quốc độ của ngài có được yên ổn chăng? Ở mỗi làng trong vương quốc, có những nhóm năm người—dũng cảm, vững vàng trong phán đoán, và thạo việc—cùng hòa hợp mà lo an ninh và phúc lợi, thi hành công vụ đúng phép vì lợi ích của muôn dân chăng?”
