मायासभायां दुर्योधनस्य अवमान-प्रसङ्गः

Duryodhana’s Humiliation in the Hall of Māyā

भीकम (2 अमान त्रिचत्वारिशो 5 ध्याय: भीष्मजीके द्वारा शिशुपालके जन्मके वृत्तान्तका वर्णन भीष्म उवाच चेदिराजकुले जातस्त्र्यक्ष एष चतुर्भुज: । रासभारावसदृशं ररास च ननाद च,भीष्मजी बोले--भीमसेन! सुनो, चेदिराज दमघोषके कुलमें जब यह शिशुपाल उत्पन्न हुआ, उस समय इसके तीन आँखें और चार भुजाएँ थीं। इसने रोनेकी जगह गदहेके रेंकनेकी भाँति शब्द किया और जोर-जोरसे गर्जना भी की

bhīṣma uvāca | cedirājakule jātas tryakṣa eṣa caturbhujaḥ | rāsabhārāvasadṛśaṃ rarāsa ca nanāda ca ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Hỡi Bhīmasena, hãy nghe đây. Trong hoàng tộc Cedi, thuộc dòng của vua Damaghosha, khi Śiśupāla này chào đời, hắn có ba mắt và bốn tay. Thay vì tiếng khóc trẻ thơ thường tình, hắn rống lên như lừa và còn gầm vang dữ dội.”
