ऑफ -ण क्र पज्चत्रिशो5 ध्याय: राजसूययज्ञका वर्णन वैशम्पायन उवाच पितामहं गुरुं चैव प्रत्युद्गम्य युधिष्ठिर: । अभिवाद्य ततो राजन्निदं वचनमत्रवीत्
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: pitāmahaṁ guruṁ caiva pratyudgamya yudhiṣṭhiraḥ | abhivādya tato rājan idaṁ vacanam abravīt |
Vaiśampāyana nói: Tâu Đại vương Janamejaya, Yudhiṣṭhira bước ra nghênh đón bậc tổ phụ Bhīṣma và thầy mình là Droṇa. Sau khi cúi lạy cung kính, chàng nói lời này—cầu xin ân huệ và sự nâng đỡ cho nghi lễ, thỉnh các bậc trưởng thượng ban trọn thiện ý đối với mình trong lễ Rājasūya sắp cử hành. Cảnh ấy nêu rõ đạo lý: quyền lực vương giả cũng phải đặt nền trên khiêm cung, kính bậc lão thành và sự thuận nhận của người hiền trí.
