क्रोधात् प्रस्फुरमाणौष्ठो धनुरुद्यम्य भारत । योधयामास वै पार्थ महावेगपराक्रम:,भरतनन्दन! वह महान् वेग और पराक्रमसे सम्पन्न हो क्रोधसे ओंठ फड़फड़ाता हुआ धनुष उठाकर अर्जुनके साथ युद्ध करने लगा
krodhāt prasphuramāṇauṣṭho dhanur udyamya bhārata | yodhayāmāsa vai pārtha mahāvegaparākramaḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: “Hỡi Bhārata, trong cơn giận—môi run bần bật—chàng giương cung và lao vào giao chiến với Arjuna, một chiến binh có tốc lực phi thường và uy lực áp đảo.”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical danger of krodha (anger): it manifests physically and propels action, often intensifying conflict. Even great prowess (parākrama) and speed (vega) become morally precarious when driven by wrath rather than discernment and dharma.
Sañjaya reports to the Kuru court that a furious warrior, lips trembling, raises his bow and begins fighting Arjuna (Pārtha). It marks the escalation into direct combat with heightened intensity and momentum.
