Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | apaviddhāyudhair mārgaḥ stīrṇo 'bhūt phālgunena vai |

Translation

Sañjaya nói: Con đường nơi ấy đã bị Phālguna (Arjuna) phủ kín bởi những vũ khí bị quăng bỏ—khiến lối đi ngập trong tàn tích chiến trường: voi, người và ngựa bị giết; vô số chiến xa vỡ nát văng tung; những chiến binh thiện chiến nhưng đã vô hồn, bị lột khỏi binh khí, khí cụ và giáp trụ; cùng những thứ vũ khí bị hất văng tứ phía.
