अहं व: पाण्डुपुत्रेभ्यस्त्रास्यामीति यदब्रवीत्‌ | धृतराष्ट्रसुतान्‌ कर्ण: श्लाघमानो55त्मनो गुणान्‌

Transliteration

ahaṁ vaḥ pāṇḍuputrebhyas trāsyāmīti yad abravīt | dhṛtarāṣṭrasutān karṇaḥ ślāghamāno ’tmano guṇān ||

Translation

Sañjaya nói: “Khi Karṇa, tự ca tụng tài năng mình, đã nói với các con của Dhṛtarāṣṭra rằng: ‘Ta sẽ bảo vệ các ngươi khỏi những con trai của Pāṇḍu,’ thì lời khoe khoang ấy sẽ bị những mũi tên sắc của ta biến thành dối trá.”
