Shloka 99

त्वं चेत्‌ कर्णसुतं पार्थ सूतपुत्रस्य पश्यत: । प्रतिज्ञावारणार्थाय निहनिष्यसि सायकै:

sañjaya uvāca | tvaṃ cet karṇasutaṃ pārtha sūtaputrasya paśyataḥ | pratijñā-vāraṇārthāya nihaniṣyasi sāyakaiḥ |

Sañjaya nói: “Hỡi Pārtha, người biết tôn kính bậc đáng kính—nếu trước mắt Karṇa, đứa con của người đánh xe, ngươi bắn hạ Vṛṣasena, con trai của hắn, để hoàn tất lời thệ và dẹp bỏ chướng ngại, thì Karṇa lòng dạ u ám ấy, khi thấy đứa con yêu dấu bị giết, sẽ buộc phải nhớ lại lời khuyên xưa của Droṇa, Bhīṣma và Vidura.”
