तान्यद्य जीवितं चास्य शमयन्तु शरास्तव । “दुष्टात्मा कर्णने तुम्हारे प्रति और भी जो-जो पापपूर्ण बर्ताव किये हैं, उन सबको और इसके जीवनको भी आज तुम्हारे बाण नष्ट कर दें
tāny adya jīvitaṁ cāsya śamayantu śarās tava |
Sañjaya nói: “Ước gì hôm nay những mũi tên của ngươi chấm dứt cả mạng sống hắn lẫn những (tội ác) ấy—ước gì chúng dập tắt và xóa sạch mọi hành vi gian ác mà Karṇa đã gây ra đối với ngươi, và cũng kết liễu chính sinh mạng hắn.”
