Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the psychology of war: confident assertions of inevitable victory can mask moral blindness and deepen commitment to destructive choices. It invites reflection on how certainty, when untethered from dharma and humility, can become an ethical hazard.

Sanjaya reports a firm conviction—associated with the Kaurava side’s expectations—that Karna will surely overcome the sons of Kunti in the battlefield, framing the coming clash as one where confidence and destiny are being invoked to justify continued fighting.
