प्रयच्छान्यस्मै गाण्डिवमेतदद्य त्वत्तो योअस्त्रैरभ्यधिको वा नरेन्द्र: । “यदि तुम आज रणभूमिमें विचरते हुए इस भयानक वीर राधापुत्र कर्णका सामना करनेकी शक्ति नहीं रखते तो अब यह गाण्डीव धनुष दूसरे किसी ऐसे राजाको दे दो जो अस्त्रबलमें तुमसे बढ़कर हो
prayacchānyasmai gāṇḍīvam etad adya tvatto yo 'strair abhyadhiko vā narendraḥ |
Sañjaya nói: “Hôm nay hãy trao cây cung Gāṇḍīva này cho người khác—cho một vị vua nào đó vượt trội ngươi về tinh thông binh khí. Nếu ngươi không đủ sức rong ruổi trên chiến địa và đối mặt với dũng sĩ đáng sợ Karṇa, con của Rādhā, thì hãy để cây cung này được mang bởi kẻ xứng đáng hơn.”
