Adhyāya 17 — गजयुद्ध-वृत्तान्तः, सहदेव-दुःशासन-संघर्षः, नकुल-कर्ण-समागमः

इतीव भूयश्न सुहृद्धिरीरिता निशम्य वाच: सुमनास्ततोअर्जुन: | यथानुरूपं प्रतिपूज्य तं जनं जगाम संशप्तकसंघहा पुन:
itīva bhūyaś ca suhṛdbhir īritā niśamya vācaḥ sumanās tato 'rjunaḥ | yathānurūpaṃ pratipūjya taṃ janaṃ jagāma saṃśaptaka-saṅgha-hā punaḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: Nghe lại những lời ấy do các bằng hữu thiện chí thốt ra, tâm trí Arjuna trở nên an định và sáng tỏ. Đáp lại họ với sự tôn kính xứng hợp, ngài lại lên đường, một lần nữa trở thành kẻ tiêu diệt đoàn Saṃśaptaka.
