भीष्मपातने कर्णविलापः | Karṇa’s Lament upon Seeing Bhīṣma Fallen
यथा वायुर्नरव्यात्र तथा कृष्णो न संशय: । 'पुरुषसिंह! जैसी प्रज्वलित अग्नि होती है, वैसे ही कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुन हैं--इसमें संशय नहीं है और जैसी वायु होती है, वैसे ही श्रीकृष्ण हैं, इसमें भी संशय नहीं है ।।
yathā vāyur naravyātra tathā kṛṣṇo na saṁśayaḥ |
Sañjaya nói: “Gió thế nào—nhanh như chớp, không thể cưỡng, lan khắp—thì Kṛṣṇa cũng thế; điều ấy không nghi ngờ.” Trong khung đạo lý của cuộc chiến, câu này nhấn mạnh rằng sức mạnh chiến trận của Arjuna được dẫn dắt và trở nên hữu hiệu nhờ quyền năng chỉ đạo dứt khoát của Kṛṣṇa—hàm ý rằng sức mạnh thiếu sự dẫn đường chính đáng thì chưa trọn vẹn.
