Droṇa’s sweeping assault and the Abhimanyu–Jayadratha close-quarters episode
saṃhanādaravāṃś cakrur bāhuśabdāṃś ca kṛtsnaśaḥ | tac ca sarvaṃ yathānyāyaṃ dharmarājena bhārata āptair āśu parijñātaṃ bhāradvājacikīrṣitam ||
Sañjaya nói: Tâu Đại vương, quân sĩ khắp nơi gầm vang như sư tử, lại vỗ mạnh vào cánh tay tạo nên tiếng động rền trời. Nhưng hỡi dòng dõi Bharata, Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira đã mau chóng, theo đúng phép tắc, nhờ những người đưa tin đáng tin cậy mà biết trọn vẹn ý đồ của con trai Bhāradvāja (Droṇa)—rằng ông ta đang toan tính điều gì.
संजय उवाच
In crisis, loud confidence and public display are less valuable than disciplined discernment. Yudhiṣṭhira embodies dharmic leadership by seeking verified information through trustworthy sources and responding in a measured, proper way (yathānyāyam), rather than being swayed by battlefield noise.
After Droṇa forms an intention/pledge to capture Yudhiṣṭhira, the Kaurava troops celebrate with martial shouts and arm-clapping. Meanwhile Yudhiṣṭhira, through reliable informants, quickly learns Droṇa’s real plan and prepares accordingly.
