Droṇa-parva 112: Karṇa–Bhīma Engagement and Duryodhana’s Protective Order

Ethical identity must align with action: one known as satyavrata and satyavāk should uphold truth consistently, especially under the strain of war, because public trust and dharma rest on truthful speech and protective conduct.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses a warrior (not named in this verse) by praising his established virtues—truthfulness, bravery, and giving safety to friends—using that reputation as moral leverage to urge him toward a dharmic course of action in the ongoing conflict.
