तस्मिंस्तथा वर्तमाने संग्रामे लोमहर्षणे । भगदत्तो महेष्वासो भीमसेनमथाद्रवत्‌,जब इस प्रकार रोंगटे खड़े कर देनेवाला भयंकर संग्राम चल रहा था, उसी समय महाधनुर्धर भगदत्तने भीमसेनपर धावा किया

Transliteration

tasmiṁs tathā vartamāne saṅgrāme lomaharṣaṇe | bhagadatto maheṣvāso bhīmasenam athādravat ||

Translation

Sañjaya nói: Khi trận chiến ghê rợn khiến người ta dựng tóc gáy vẫn đang cuộn lên dữ dội như thế, đại cung thủ Bhagadatta liền xông thẳng vào Bhīmasena. Câu kệ nhấn mạnh đà không ngừng của chiến tranh—nơi dũng khí cá nhân và bổn phận võ đạo thúc đẩy những cuộc đối đầu bất ngờ, quyết liệt giữa cơn bão xung đột tập thể.
