Adhyāya 92: Irāvanta-śoka, punaḥ-pravṛttiḥ saṅgrāmasya
Arjuna’s grief and the battle’s renewed intensity
कूजतां क्रन्दतां चैव स्तनतां चैव भारत । अनिशं शुश्रुवे शब्द: क्षुत्क्लिष्टानां नूगामिव,भरतनन्दन! भूखसे पीड़ित मनुष्योंकी भाँति कूजते, क्रन्दन करते और गरजते हुए योद्धाओंका शब्द निरन्तर सुनायी देता था
kūjatāṁ krandatāṁ caiva stanatāṁ caiva bhārata | aniśaṁ śuśruve śabdaḥ kṣut-kliṣṭānāṁ nūgām iva ||
Sañjaya nói: “Hỡi Bhārata, tiếng huyên náo của các chiến binh—những tiếng kêu chói, tiếng than khóc, và tiếng gầm vang như sấm—vang lên không ngừng, tựa như tiếng ồn hỗn loạn của một đám đông người bị hành hạ bởi cơn đói.”
